Antique Mahogany Astral Glazed Display Cabinet
£1,450.00 + VATThis antique mahogany display cabinet could also be used as a bookcase, by changing the glass shelves to wood & we could arrange that quite easily. It's extremely fine quality & has some very intricate details. Please enlarge all the images to see the entire cabinet in detail. The two top edges are carved & the corners are carved all the way down to the claw & ball feet. It's also carved all along the base & even the astral-glazing which is a spectacular design has fine carvings too. There are three doors which are flame mahogany with locks. The inside is also polished & there are glass shelves, which like I mentioned could be used as a template to make mahogany shelves to hold books. This cabinet is in excellent condition & dates from around the 1910 period. It's one of the finest quality cabinets I've had & the attention to detail is amazing.

Antique Victorian Papier Mache Side Chair Inlaid with Mother of Pearl
£275.00 + VATAntique Victorian papier mache side chair which is one of a similar pair. They are both on the site separately, but if someone wants them both together I can do a better deal. This chair does need restoration in places, so please enlarge all the images, because I can't possibly point it all out. This chair has at some point in it's life been re-enforced on the back with more wood. Maybe it was broken. Whatever happened was a long time ago, judging from the wooden repair on the back. The seat was also recovered a long time ago along with the other one, because it's the same fabric. I don't really think these chairs are for sitting on anymore, but they are extremely decorative & a fabulous example of Victorian Decorative furniture. This chair has beautiful mother of pearl inlays & other decorative features.

This one has the usual mother of pearl inlays & other decorative features. It has the classic Victorian spoon shaped back & cabriole legs. The seat was probably cane originally, but it has been upholstered a long time ago. Please enlarge all the images to see the general condition. It's by no means perfect & would need restoration in places, although it all seems to be there. We have tried to show most of the defects. If someone wants to buy the two chairs together I will do a better price.
