This is not one of our re-constructed or constructed bookcases, but totally original. It's antique Victorian, figured walnut with a lovely warm original colour & full of character. The shelves are all adjustable & it sits on a plinth base. It's quite rare to find one with these proportion, especially in such nice condition. It dates from around the 1880's period.

Antique William IV Mahogany Bookcase£1,500.00 + VAT
Fine quality antique William IV mahogany bookcase dating from the 1830-40's period in excellent original condition. The top section has two glazed doors with shaped top mouldings on the glass & there are adjustable bookshelves inside. The bottom section has a shaped drawer above two doors with arched flame mahogany panels. Inside the cupboard section is a useful arrangements of shelves. This bookcase has a prominent cornice with a flame mahogany section below. There are well carved panels either side of the drawer & it sits on a plinth base. Large Burr Walnut Georgian Bookcase£1,150.00 + VAT
Large fine quality walnut three door glazed bookcase on a three cupboard base. This bookcase has many fine features, so please enlarge all the images to see them all. The top section has a cornice with dental mouldings & tear drop decoration below. There are three astral glazed doors, with adjustable shelves inside & the inside is polished too. The doors on the bottom section have strong burr walnut panels, surrounded by herring bone inlays, with cross banding outside of that. The two left hand cupboards are also polished inside with a single shelf. Behind the right hand cupboard is a polished bank of drawers, which have nicely aged brass handles. This magnificent bookcase sits on a plinth base & comes apart into two sections for easier transportation. It’s in great condition, with plenty of character & I would date it to around the 1930’s period.

Antique Victorian Mahogany Dwarf bookcase with an inverted breakfront & carved corbels top & bottom. It’s in good condition & has adjustable shelves on sharks teeth supports. This bookcase sits on a plinth base & has the original pine panelled back. We probably should have stained up the back a bit, because the original staining has really worn out, but there again, this won’t be noticed when the books are in place. You can also see an old storage or sellers label still fixed to the back. This item dates to around the 1840-60’s period. Sorry about the dust inside. We really haven’t presented this piece very well.

This large impressive antique mahogany bookcase is of high quality with all the shelves being fully adjustable on sharks teeth supports. It has actually been adapted from a Victorian wardrobe, so the framework is all original, with the depth having been cut back. The mahogany has a rich colour & patina, so it’s full of character. Don’t be put off by the configuration of the shelves, because we simply didn’t put them all in with similar gaps. They can actually be put anywhere you want. This bookcase has a bold cornice, which has curved ends, as has the sides & plinth. It comes apart in many pieces for easy transportation. The cornice lifts off & the three middle sections lift off from the plinth.

Pair of antique Regency style mahogany open bookcase in good condition, full of character & dating from around the 1910 period. They have gilt bronze mounts with Sphinx heads & feet on the reeded uprights. The shelves are all adjustable & just slot into the grooves on the inside. These bookcases are in good condition throughout & they have plenty of character. It's quite rare to find these models in pairs.

Antique French Ormolu Mounted Corner Cabinet£575.00 + VAT
Antique French glazed corner cabinet with wonderful quality gilt mounts & a pierced gilt metal gallery. It’s in lovely original condition & is fine quality throughout. Behind the door are two glass shelves & the original lining fabric which is still in good condition. There is also some fine inlay work on the door panel. The predominate wood of this cabinet is mahogany, while the door panel looks like walnut & some other lighter wood. The inlays are of other more exotic wood. Please enlarge the images to see the quality of the castings. This cabinet also has a working lock & key. I would date it to around the 1910 period.

Antique walnut bureau bookcase of slim proportions, in good original condition & dating from around the 1920's period. The frontage is mainly burr walnut & the sides are figured walnut. The top section has a double arched cornice, with two astral glazed doors, which have adjustable bookshelves inside. The bottom section has a cross banded slope, four drawers with original brass handles, reeded edges & it sits on bracket feet. When the slope is down, there is a tooled leather writing surface, pigeon holes, two small drawers & a double shutter middle compartment. This bureau bookcase has a lovely warm colour & great figuring to the wood.

This bureau bookcase is very fine quality & it comes apart into two sections for easy transportation.

Impressive antique mahogany display cabinet in good original condition, with original colour & patina. The top cornice has a dental frieze with tear drop mouldings below. The astral glazing is of Gothic design & the shelves inside the cabinet are shaped. There is a working key & the glazed section sits on the original stand with chamfered legs. This cabinet is a very well constructed piece & you can see how well the back is panelled with solid timbers. I would date this cabinet to around the 1890's period.

Antique Edwardian Bow Fronted Mahogany Inlaid Display Cabinet£1,500.00 + VAT
Very impressive & fine quality large antique mahogany display cabinet, with cupboards below. This cabinet is in excellent original condition & dates from around the 1890-1910 period. Please enlarge all the images to appreciate all the fine features, because I couldn't possibly describe them all. Check out all the fine satinwood & other inlays. The glass panels are all curved, to fit in with the bow fronted shape. It's quite a heavy item & does not come apart. The two glass shelves are fixed in the top section. The tapered spade end legs are strong & supported by the lower shelf between them. The internal lining fabric is dark blue & is in keeping with this piece. There is also a working key for the top & bottom cupboards. Please check the measurements, because it's quite large.
