Very impressive & top quality pair of leather upholstered mahogany armchairs. They are in excellent original condition, both on the frames & the leather. The backs are deep buttoned & the leather is hand tacked on the edges. The solid mahogany frames are very sturdy, with cross stretchers between all the legs & decorative corner brackets. The front of the arms have deeply carved ends & the top of the arms have studded leather arm pads. The leather on these chairs is all original & is full of character, having been professionally revived & polished. I would date these armchairs to around the 1910-20’s period.
