Art Deco Burr Walnut Cocktail Cabinet by H & L Epstein£9,750.00 + VAT
A magnificent and rarely seen original Art Deco period cocktail cabinet in burr walnut, this was designed and made by Harry & Lou Epstein in the 1930’s. It is of amazing quality, with stunning walnut veneers and beautiful floral carving. The doors are fluted and the interior is sycamore lined, with an internal cabinet, drawers, mirrored slide and shelves. We have had recently had this stripped and re-polished to a very high standard, the condition is superb for its age.

Antique Victorian Leather Chaise Lounge Ottoman£1,850.00 + VAT
This is an original antique Victorian chaise lounge ottoman dating from the 1880’s period that we have had re-upholstered in leather & then hand coloured & antiqued. We have tried to keep the same design which was very practicable & it still has the original feet & casters. This piece is finished off on the back the same as the front. It has a deep buttoned head or arm rest & the leather is hand tacked all over onto the frame. One of the nicest features is the lift up seat, revealing loads of storage inside. There is a leather handle to aid lifting the seat lid up & two straps to stop the seat falling too far back. It’s of quite small proportions too.

Antique Swedish Leather Chesterfield Sofa£1,950.00 + VAT
This antique Swedish deep buttoned leather Chesterfield sofa has very generous proportions & is very comfortable. The leather is all original & in good condition. It's not like the normal English traditional chesterfields, because the back is higher, so it actually has far more comfort & support. This piece is also very heavy due to the quality of the build & I would date it to around the 1910 period. The leather has been professionally revived & polished, so the colour is really warm & it has loads of character.

Antique Swedish Marble Top Secretaire£1,500.00 + VAT
This antique Swedish marble top Secretaire is a great looking piece of furniture, top quality & is in excellent condition. It’s neoclassical style & has some fabulous decorations. The pull down front has some fine marquetry of a cherub playing a musical instrument, plus decorative swags. The wood is mainly kingwood & satin birch, however there are other woods too. The marble top is original & in good condition. There are some fine quality gilt bronze mounts & escutcheons. This piece has two drawers above & below the pull down section. When opened the inside writing section is magnificent with many drawers & a single cupboard in the middle. I can’t decide whether it looks better open or closed. The tapered legs too are satin birch, with kingwood cross banding. I would date this cabinet to around the 1890-1910 period. The attention to detail the cabinet maker has used in making this product is amazing. Please enlarge all the images to appreciate all the fine details.

Antique French Inlaid Marble Top Secretaire Commode£2,250.00 + VAT
Very impressive antique French marble top commode with a wonderful shape & a fitted secretaire writing compartment within the dummy top drawer. I’ve never come across a shaped commode like this with a secretaire inside. It has a very colourful & nicely patterned marble top & the wood is predominately Kingwood. The drawer panels are made up of kingwood vertical strips, with inlay & walnut banding. The kingwood panels on the sides are also well patterned & is the rest of the wood on this commode. This commode has well cast gilt bronze mounts, escutcheons & handles, which are all naturally aged. The secretaire is nicely fitted out with a tooled leather writing surface, small inlaid drawers & a compartment in the middle. This is quite a rare item & I would date it to around the 1860-80’s period. There are a few marks within the polish in certain places, which is all part of the general character.

Pair of Antique Leather Wing Back Armchairs£2,500.00 + VAT
This very impressive large pair of antique leather & mahogany wing armchairs have very generous proportions & are extremely comfortable. They also have a lovely naturally aged colour to the original leather & there are no rips, tears or holes. This type of armchair is my favourite for overall comfort & back support. I would say they date from around the 1950's period & are structurally sound, sitting on strong solid mahogany chamfered legs with cross stretchers. The leather is also hand tacked onto the frames. These armchairs have hump backs & well shaped wings. It's nice to find a good looking pair of wing armchairs that are also very comfortable.

Small Antique Mahogany Bachelors Chest of Drawers£1,150.00 + VAT
This antique mahogany chest of drawers has really nice small proportions & is of high quality. On first impressions it looks period Georgian, but I’m not so sure & it may have been adapted later into a smaller chest. Either way, it does have some age & the mahogany has a nice colour & figuring. The top has a reeded edge, with a brushing slide below. There are four graduated drawers below with brass handles, fine dovetails & locks. This chest sits on stepped out bracket feet. So, if it’s not Georgian it must at least date to around the 1890-1910 period. Hard to say really. Either way, it’s a very well made chest of drawers.
Width – 29 inches, 74 cm
Depth – 16 inches, 41 cm
Height – 30 inches, 76 cm
Antique Mahogany Leather Top Knee Hole Desk£1,250.00 + VAT
This small antique mahogany kneehole desk is fabulous quality & has quite a lot of age. At first it looks George III & I would like to say it is. However I would say it dates from around the 1890-1910 period & it’s in very good condition. The tooled leather writing surface looks like it could be original & is in good condition too. There are five drawers down both sides with one in the middle. They have original brass handles & fine dovetails. There is a central cupboard with a panelled front. This small compact desk sits on a plinth base & it has plenty of storage.

Antique Burr Walnut Cocktail Cabinet£1,150.00 + VAT
Very impressive antique Queen Anne style burr walnut drinks cabinet dating to around the 1920's period. The burr walnut veneers have wonderful patterns & are all over the front & the sides. The hand carvings are also exceptional around the top, bottom & on the legs. This cocktail cabinet was purpose made for the job, so has everything you would need inside for a drinks cabinet. The top half has an etched mirrored back, shelves & racks on the doors for glasses. It even has a very useful pull out slide for saving drinks on. The bottom half is basically for storing the bottles & other items. There's also a small drawer in there too. The door fronts have etched brass hinges & escutcheons. The side edges are also chamfered. This cabinet is quite large & heavy, so fortunately it splits into two sections for easy transportation.

Pair of Antique French Gilt Wood Salon Armchairs£1,500.00 + VAT
This pair of antique 19th century French gilt wood salon armchairs also have a matching sofa & pair of side chairs. The whole suite is showing in one of the images & you can also go to one of the other sub-categories to see the rest. They are all in the same good original condition & I believe the upholstery is original too. Having said that, it obviously needs to be re-upholstered & we can arrange that or sell as is. The gilding is naturally aged, so you can see a lot of the red undercoat coming through. I think this is a lovely feature & adds a lot to the character. These chairs are excellent quality & structurally sound. We would rather sell the whole set together, but they are priced & available separately. I would date them to around the 1850's period, give or take 25 years.

Large Antique Georgian Style Mahogany Console Table£950.00 + VAT
Very long solid mahogany console side table in mahogany, with a very unusual top which looks like stone, but isn't. The top must have been made with the rest of the table & it is fixed on. It was made to look like marble or some kind of stone & there is some natural wear to it. It does look great on the table & I've never come across this sort of thing before. It looks like there is wood underneath it. This table was made by 'William Tillman' who were top cabinet makers & it still bears the label underneath. I should think it was made in the 60's & it's antique Georgian in style with many nice features. There is a carved urn with swags in the middle, carved rosettes on all the corners & grooving all around the top frieze. The bold tapered reeded legs culminate with strong spade end feet. The table is a very strong looking piece, with a serpentine shaped front & it's a superb quality item. There is also a generous overhang on the back, to compensate for any skirting boards.
