Antique Edwardian Mahogany Hall Cupboard / Wardrobe

This small antique mahogany wardrobe could work well as a hall cupboard. In fact, I think that was what it was designed for. Perfect for hanging coats in & shoes at the bottom. There's a hanging rail inside with sliding hooks attached. This wardrobe is fine quality, in good condition & dates from the 1900-10 period. It has a single panelled do & sits on bracket feet.

Antique George III Mahogany Linen Press

    £1,500.00 + VAT

This is a really nice example of an early 19th century mahogany linen press & it has small proportions. It has a lovely rich colour & is in excellent condition. The top two cupboards have flame mahogany panels with a brass trim between the doors. Inside the cupboard are the original sliding trays. The bottom section has two over two drawers, with original turned handles & locks on the drawers. The top cornice has a flame mahogany surround & the drawer section sits on turned mahogany feet. I would date this linen press to around the 1820 period. It also comes apart into three sections, top cornice, cupboard section & drawer section.

The inside has been very thoughtfully constructed. The left hand double compartment has a mirror on the door, a rail for hangers & even a shoe rack at the bottom. The single right hand compartment has shelves on the top & drawers below. This wardrobe has a nice mellow colour & a good pattern within the burr walnut panels. • Antique Satin Wood Wardrobe by Hilleout of stockOut of stock!

Antique Satin Wood Wardrobe by Hille

    £2,500.00 + VAT

This antique Satinwood three door wardrobe is a stunning & rare piece of furniture. It was made by the famous London cabinet makers 'S. Hille & Co' around the 1910 period (see their label on the wardrobe in the image). Hille furniture was always top quality & there was an exhibition of their products in the Victoria & Albert museum about 30 years ago that I remember going to. Hille are probably more well know for their later contemporary items – see – http://www.hille.co.uk/history – This wardrobe is not only beautifully made, but it has a very practicably design. Behind the two left hand doors is a large hanging area, with plenty of depth too. There should be a hanging bar running accross the top & we will have one fitted before sending out. It also has all the original brass hooks inside. There are mirrors on the insides of both doors. Behind the right hand door is a combination of pull out slides & shelves. The door panels have arched top mouldings with shell carvings at the tops. The shell carving is repeated on the base with more carvings either side. The top cornice has slight gadrooning & there is some subtle carving in the middle of the top. All the doors have the original brass drop handles & locks. The feet also have a nice shape to them. The nicest thing about this wardrobe is the fact that it's Satinwood, which is quite rare for this sort of thing & the colour is lovely. It has all been fully restored & French polished. This wardrobe comes apart into four sections for easy transportation.

    Width – 74″, 188 cm
    Depth – 23.2″, 59 cm
    Height – 82.3″, 209 cm
