Magnificent large dining table & matching chairs in walnut & burr walnut, with an extendable table that can comfortably seat ten people. The chairs have very wide proportions & are carved on the backs, plus on the tops of the legs too. The beautifully shaped back splats are burr walnut & the carvers are wider & have shepherds crook shaped arms. This table & chairs were obviously made for each other. They are antique Queen Anne style & I would date them to around the 1960’s period. We have just had the table top French polished & everything else just polished up, because the condition was very good. The seat upholstery on the chairs is how we found them & is also in good condition. The dining table has a well patterned burr walnut top with a cross banded top edge & inlay in-between. Right now it can be closed up fully or be extended to take the two extra leaves. It can’t be set up to only take one leaf, but it could be arranged by having another pair of bearers made. It has two carved walnut tripod legs which move apart when extended. The table & chairs are all structurally sound & the table is very stable.
