Very rare & impressive large antique satinwood full length cheval mirror that dates from around the 1890-1910 period. This cheval mirror has to be the nicest example I've ever seen. I don't think you will find many of these in satinwood on the market & not of this quality. The top of the frame has the most amazing array of hand carved flowers with the 'Prince of Wales Feathers' in the centre. The finials on each side on the top are also carved out with flowers. The side supports are fluted with more carvings in the middle & at the base. There are also many more fine details on the frame like ebony inlays, decorative oval panels, carvings on the legs & more finials. The shaped mirror is naturally bevelled & the mirror frame is also inlay with ebony. This cheval mirror has the original embossed brass side fittings that will tighten up to hold the mirror at the required angle. It also sits on casters. This really is a unique item & is in good original condition. Please enlarge all the images.
