A fantastic original Edwardian period hall cupboard in mahogany. This was made in England, and it dates from around the 1890-1900 period.
It is of amazing quality and is a very useful size. Ideal for use in an entry way, there is a hanging rail that runs across the internal width, perfect for hanging coats, with a single shelf above. It would also be useful as a bedroom wardrobe.
There is a lovely overhanging cornice with fine dental moulding, the two panelled doors are beaded around the edges, giving this a refined look.
We have just had this re-polished, it is in very good condition for its age. the mahogany has acquired an amazing patina and very rich colour. There are various small bumps and marks here and there, commensurate for age.
The cornice lifts off and the main section lifts off the base, so this comes apart in three sections for ease of transport.
