This antique Edwardian linen press has lovely slim proportions, which is a hard thing to find with these modals & is in excellent condition. It’s mahogany with some fine satinwood inlays & other nice features. The two top doors have flame mahogany oval panels & there is a brass strip that runs between the doors. The drawers are finely dovetailed & have the original brass handles, plus locks. There are three shelves in the top section, which my restorer made to make it a more practicable piece of furniture. As you can see in the images there was a slide out contraption for hangers, which wasn’t that useful. This linen press dates from around the 1900-10 period & was sold originally by Maples & Co. The original label is still there showing. This piece comes apart into two sections for easy transportation.
