A superb original antique inlaid mahogany breakfront bookcase. This was made in England, it dates from around 1900-1910.
It is a fantastic size, not too high and imposing for a bookcase of its kind, yet with lots of storage space. The upper glazed compartments have many adjustable and removable shelves. There is a beautiful dental moulded cornice on the top, this sits on a plinth base and the panelled lower doors have lovely satin wood inlay around the borders.
We have had this polished and revived, the condition is excellent for its age. There is some minor wear and light marks here and there beneath the polish, commensurate for age.
The top section and the cornice can lift off, so this comes apart in three pieces for ease of transport.
