A very impressive original antique walnut bookcase, this was made in France and dates from around 1840-1860’s period.

It has many fine features and is of amazing quality. The upper doors have stunning carved astral glazing and there are adjustable shelves inside. The lower section has panelled doors with two well made drawers in the middle. There are original mother of pearl escutcheons on all the locks & this comes with two locking keys.

The condition is very good for its age, we have just given it a fresh wax polish. There are some small marks and indentations here and there commensurate for age, with a beautiful overall colour and patina. It comes apart in two pieces for ease of transport.
