Antique George III style mahogany breakfront bookcase of very high quality, with smallish proportions & with some lovely features. I would say this bookcase is about 40-50 years old. The top section has four gothic style astral glazed doors & inside are adjustable bookshelves. The bottom section has three drawers across the top, with two more in the middle below. The bottom drawer looks like two, but is in fact one deep double drawer, which has extra support with metal guides. The outside cupboards have oval flame mahogany panels with satinwood inlay. There’s also satinwood inlay on all the drawers in-between the flame mahogany & the outside cross banding. One particularly nice feature is the pull out slide with the tooled leather inset just below the top drawer. This very graceful looking bookcase has elegant splayed out legs. It comes apart into two sections for easy transportation.
