A smart and very well made antique inlaid walnut breakfront bookcase. This was made in England, it dates from around the 1900-1920’s period.
It is of lovely quality and is a very useful size, it is low and slim, yet offering lots of storage space. There is an open bookshelf in the centre with two adjustable shelves, flanked by two doors and with drawers in the upper section. The doors have beautiful double herringbone inlay around the borders, this has a cross banded top and it sits on bracket feet. The drawers have lovely brass handles and fine, hand cut dovetailed joints.
We have had this re-polished, it is in excellent condition for its age. There are some minor marks here and there beneath the polish, this has a gorgeous overall patina.
