This beautiful antique breakfront mahogany bookcase has plenty of character. This is in the Georgian style & dates from around the 1910-20’s.
The quality is outstanding and it has lovely proportions. This sits on splayed bracket feet, the lower doors have lovely moulded borders with flame mahogany panels and the upper doors have beautiful astral glazing. There is satin wood inlay on the drawers and high quality brass ring handles. The drawers are solid oak lined, with fine dovetailed joints. It has dental mouldings below the cornice, a reeded middle edge & reeded adjustable shelves inside.
The condition is excellent for its age, with only some extremely minor wear here and there. This comes with six brass keys, one for each door.
