This antique William IV mahogany two section library bookcase dates from around the 1830's period & is in good original condition. The top section has two astral glazed doors with reeded sections of mahogany between the glass. The glass panels are original & you can see all the bubbles & tears within the glass, which is a really good feature. Inside the top section are three adjustable shelves. The bottom cupboards have panelled doors & a single shelf inside which can be adjusted in height. There are elongated panels going down the front sides of the whole bookcase & there are original reeded brass beadings between the top & bottom doors. It has an inverted breakfront cornice & sits on bracket feet. This bookcase separates into three sections of the cornice, glazed section & bottom section. It's very rare to find a period bookcase like this & with so many original features. Please enlarge all the images to see all the features.
