A stunning antique William IV period open bookcase in rosewood. This was made in England, it dates from around the 1830-1840’s.
It is of amazing quality and is a very useful size, with three adjustable shelves. The colour and rosewood grain patterns are stunning, this has acquired a gorgeous patina over the years. There is beautiful carved moulding around the top and bottom edges, the front edges and shelf fronts are also nicely cross banded with rosewood.
We have had this re-polished to a high standard, it is in excellent condition for its age, with various small signs of wear remaining beneath the polish here and there, commensurate for age.
