A beautifully made original antique William IV period open bookcase in rosewood. This was made in England, it dates from around 1830-1840.
It is of superb quality and has a gorgeous cascading design. It is a very useful size, large enough to hold plenty of books, yet not to deep and imposing. There is a finely carved pediment on the top gallery, with lovely columns running down the front edges. The rosewood grain patterns and colour tones are absolutely gorgeous throughout.
We have had this re-polished to a very high standard, the condition is excellent for its age.
