Antique Victorian inlaid mahogany magazine stand which is commonly known as a Canterbury. It’s in excellent original condition & has only been waxed polished. This piece is very good quality & has some lovely features. It has satinwood inlays & cross banding in various places, plus ‘X’ framed supports & turned supports between the top & base. The corner supports are turned & fluted with finials above. It has an inlaid drawer & sits on turned legs with original brass casters. This Canterbury dates from the 1890-1910 period & is very well made.
