This large very impressive mahogany breakfront secretaire bookcase is antique Georgian style dating from around the 1950’s period & it’s of very high quality. Please enlarge all the images to appreciate all the fine details. It has dental moulding below the cornice & four astral glazed doors with adjustable bookshelves inside the polished compartments. The astral glazing has some lovely shaping. The top middle drawer pulls out to reveal a pull down secretaire with a small cupboard, small drawers, pigeon holes & a tooled leather writing surface. There are more drawers either side & below that, plus cupboards on either side. All the drawers have brass handles, plus cross banding & inlays. The cupboards have oval flame mahogany panels & the drawer are also flame mahogany. This bookcase is in excellent condition & lifts apart into two sections. The flame mahogany designs & patterns are very striking.
