A stunning Claire Colinet Chryselephantine bronze and ivory sculpture of a flute dancer.
It’s signed & was made by Claire Jeanne Roberte Colinet (1880?1950) who was a famous French sculptor of Belgian birth who worked during the early-to-mid 20th century.
It’s rare find & these Chryselephantines are becoming more and more hard to find.
Most of them are now in public and private collections.
The only comparable I can find is the exact same piece sold at Bonhams in 2007 for ?21,000. See the description below:-

This one is the same, but is missing the flute, but that could be made, like the one that was sold in Bonhams.
