A smart and handsome antique writing table is solid mahogany with an inset leather top. This dates from the Victorian period, around 1840-60.

It is a very useful size, not too deep from front to back. It sits on beautifully turned and fluted legs with original brass casters. The drawers have lovely original turned handles, they are solid oak lined with fine dovetailed joints.

We have had the leather on the top replaced, hand coloured and gold tooled. This has also been recently French polished, it is in excellent condition for its age.
