A stunning antique pedestal desk, beautifully finished in burr elm. This was made in England, it dates from around the 1950’s.
The quality is amazing, this is a very well made and useful item. The burr elm has a gorgeous, light colour tone and spectacular grain patterns throughout. Even the back and inside edges are beautifully finished, so this can be used as a free standing item. The green leather top is gold tooled and has been hand coloured by our leather restorer to enhance the wonderful patina.
There are locks on the three top drawers, the two bottom right hand drawers open up to reveal a double filing drawer & it sits on ogee bracket feet.
We have had this recently stripped and re-polished to a very high standard, the condition is superb throughout for its age.
This breaks down into three sections for ease of transport.
