A magnificent antique Georgian period mahogany leather top partners desk. This was made in England, it dates from around the 1790-1810 period.
It is of extremely high quality, it is a large and impressive piece. The front has lots of drawers and storage as you would expect, the back side has two lockable panelled cupboards and three further drawers. This comes with keys, and most of the locks appear original too. The mahogany has a gorgeous colour tone and rich patina, the intricate brass handles are beautifully made and also appear original. The leather top is a beautiful patinated green with tooled edges.
This partners desk sits on bracket feet; it comes apart into three sections for easy transportation. It’s a good working desk and has a generous sized kneehole space.
We just had this recently polished, it is in fantastic condition for its ag, with some normal surface wear and patina remaining as expected for a desk that is over 200 years old.
