An excellent original antique mahogany pedestal desk with a generous sized kneehole space, which I would date from around the 1800-20 period.
The quality is superb, this is very well made and is a good size. There are gorgeous mahogany veneers on a solid oak construction. This sits on nicely shaped bracket feet, with fine quality original brass ringlet handles. The inset leather top is hand coloured and gold tooled, the back is also nicely finished so this can be used as a free standing item. It breaks down into three pieces for ease of transport.
We have had this re-polished, it is in great condition for its age, with a beautiful patina. There are various small bumps and marks here and there beneath the polish, this retains plenty of character and charm.
Please Note – We will be re-leathering this desk before sending out. The colour will be similar, but as it will be hand coloured, there will be variations in final colour & look.
