A stunning and very rare antique Victorian inlaid walnut writing table / desk. This was made in England, it dates from around the 1850-60’s period.

It is of exceptionally fine quality, with gorgeous inlaid designs throughout. It is predominantly walnut, the top has edges of Amboyna, there are outer edges of ebony and an ebony centre with inlaid floral designs of satin wood. The turned handles are also ebony, and there are inlaid trims of satin wood throughout. The walnut has a beautiful colour tone and there amazing grain patterns throughout. The tapered legs stand on porcelain casters, this has a nicely finished back, so can be used as a free standing item.

We have had this recently re-polished, the condition is excellent for its age.
