A fantastic antique Victorian writing table / desk in mahogany. This was made in England, it dates from around the 1840-1860 period.

It is of extremely fine quality, sitting on beautifully turned and fluted baluster legs. The drawers have nicely turned handles, with fine hand cut dovetailed joints. The inset leather top is hand coloured and gold tooled, with a lovely patina. The back is nicely finished so this can be used as a free standing item, this rolls smoothly on original brass casters.

We have had this recently re-polished, the condition is excellent for its age. There are various very small marks and indentations here and there beneath the polish, commensurate for age.
