An excellent antique Victorian leather top desk in mahogany. This was made in England, it dates from the 1840-1860 period.

It is of amazing quality, it sits on fluted baluster legs on original white porcelain casters. The drawers have nicely turned mahogany handles and fine, hand cut dovetailed joints. The tooled inset leather top is also of great quality and contrasts nicely with the mahogany. The back is nicely finished, so this can be used as a free standing item.

We have had this re-polished, the condition is excellent for its age. There is just some minor wear beneath the polish here and there, this has a beautiful overall patina.
