A very smart and useful antique Victorian writing table / desk. This was made in England, it dates from around the 1860-1880 period.

It is a very practical size and is of amazing quality. The beautifully turned legs sit on porcelain casters, the two drawers have beautifully turned handles. The inset leather top is hand coloured and gold tooled, the back of the desk is also nicely finished, so this can be used as a free standing item.

We have had this recently re-polished, it is in excellent condition for its age. There are various small marks and indentations here and there beneath the polish, commensurate for age.
