A very smart and well made antique Victorian leather top desk in mahogany. This was made in England, it dates from around 1890-1900.

It is of lovely quality and is a useful size, with a generous kneehole space. There is an inset leather top which is hand coloured and tooled around the edges. The drawers have brass handles and fine, hand cut dovetailed joints. The pedestals sit on plinth bases, with casters underneath, so this can be rolled around. The back is also nicely finished, so this can be used as a free standing item.

We have recently had this re-polished, the condition is very good for its age. There are various small marks and bumps beneath the polish, giving this a great overall patina, commensurate for age.
