A beautiful and very unusual antique Victorian period writing desk in mahogany. This was made in England, it dates from around the 1860-1880’s.

This has a lovely design, with an overhanging top edge and pierced fretwork under each corner. There is a single drawer with original brass handles and fine hand cut dovetailed joints. The turned solid mahogany legs sit on original porcelain casters, the back of this is also nicely polished so can be used as a free standing item.

The inset leather top has a gorgeous colour and is gold tooled. We have had this re-polished to a very high standard, the condition is excellent for its age.
