A superb antique William IV period leather top desk in mahogany. This was made in England, it dates from around the 1830-1840’s period.
It is of excellent quality, it’s very well built with generous proportions & has a beautiful hand coloured, gold tooled inset leather writing surface. The stretchered mahogany base has fine carving and sits on brass casters, with a bold and sturdy overall design. This is also nicely finished on the back, so can be used as a free standing item.
We have recently had this re-polished to a very high standard, the condition is excellent for its age.
