A superb antique William IV period writing desk in mahogany. This was made in England, it dates from around 1830-1850.

The quality is outstanding, this is very well made and is a very useful size. The mahogany has a lovely colour tone and patina, this sits on bold, beautifully turned legs with exceptional carving. There is an inset tooled leather top, the back is also nicely finished so this can be used as a free standing item.

We have recently had this re-polished, the condition is excellent for its age. There are various tiny marks here and there beneath the polish, commensurate for age.
