An excellent original antique William IV writing desk in solid mahogany. This was made in England, it dates from the 1860-1880’s.

The quality is superb, it is a lovely size and this sits on turned octagonal mahogany legs with original brass casters. The drawers have turned mahogany handles and fine hand cut dovetailed joints. The back of this is also nicely polished, so can be used as a free standing item.

The inset leather top is hand coloured and gold tooled, with a gorgeous patina. We have recently had this re-polished, the condition is excellent for its age with various signs of old wear and patina beneath the polish.
