A beautiful and very well made antique William IV rosewood writing desk. This was made in England, it dates from around the 1830-1850 period.
It is of superb quality and is a great size. This has a smart and slightly pared back design, meaning it could work well in a variety of interiors. The top has a large single drawer that runs right across, it sits on two bold baluster legs that sit on platform bases with beautifully carved hairy paw feet. The back is also nicely finished, so this can be used as a free standing item.
We have recently had this re-polished, the condition is excellent for its age. There is just some minor wear and small old marks beneath the polish here and there.
