A stunning antique French slim over mantle mirror by renowned sculptor Leon Bertaux (b. 1827). This dates from around the 1860-1880 period.

It is of amazing quality, with a gorgeous central carved plaque depicting three cherubs, with the artists signature. The gilt has acquired a gorgeous patina and the flat parts of the wooden frame are painted a beautiful light pastel blue tone.

This is in lovely overall condition, with just some normal light age related surface wear and patina, with no real damage to be seen.
