A rare & small original George III period gilt wood mirror in the neoclassical style. This was made in England & I would date it from around the 1790-1810 period.
It is of extremely fine quality and is a lovely size. The cornice is beautifully moulded with a row of perfect spheres beneath, and the sides are also wonderful sculpted. There is a decorated glass panel in the top, and the original glass mirror has aged beautifully with natural wear to the silvered backing.
This has a stunning overall patina and is in great condition for its age, with some light wear to the gilding, commensurate for age.
