This pair of bedside chests are wonderful quality throughout. At first glance they look antique Victorian, but they have been reconstructed from something else which was definitely antique. They are pollard oak with ebony inlay, ebonised turned handles & locks to all the drawers. A lot of people think pollard oak is burr walnut, but there is a difference & pollard oak is much harder to find. These bedsides have a lovely warm original colour & are full of character. They have curved ends & sit on plinth bases. The drawers are nicely dovetailed & the drawer bottoms are solid mahogany.
