A stunning antique French carved gilt wood settee. This was made in France, it dates from around the 1890-1910 period.

It is of amazing quality, with beautiful and intricate carving throughout. It is a lovely size, petite and elegant, yet sturdy and comfortable for two. This has a gorgeous shape sitting on beautifully carved legs, the back, sides and seat base are all beautifully caned.

We have had the frame gently cleaned and revived, we have had the cream cotton seat cushion newly made. The condition is excellent for its age, with just the right amount of patina and surface wear. There has been just one tiny repair to the cane on the back rest, seen in the close up images and barely noticeable in real life.
