A beautiful and very comfortable antique Edwardian solid oak desk chair. This was made in England, it dates from around the 1900-1910 period.
This is extremely well made, the solid oak frame is beautifully sculpted and has a gorgeous golden tone. It is of nice proportions and would also make a nice side chair around the home.
We have had the frame re-polished and this has also been re-upholstered in our cream cotton fabric. The condition is excellent for its age.
I am always getting asked if the arms of desk chairs go under the desks. This is never the case & not how desk armchairs are designed. If you look at the side profile, you will see that the arms are set well back from the front of the seat, so you are able to sit as close as possible to the desk.
