A wonderful original William IV period carver chair in solid mahogany. This was made in England, it dates from around 1820-1840.
It is of fantastic quality and has a beautiful design with sweeping curves. The ‘Trafalgar’ backrest is adjoined to lovely scrolled arms. The back legs and sides of the frames have a sabre shaped design, and the front legs are beautifully turned.
We have had this recently re-polished and the drop in seat has been re-upholstered in a cream cotton fabric. The condition is excellent for its age.
