A stunning and extremely well made antique Victorian armchair in mahogany. This was made in England, it dates from around the 1850-1870 period.
The quality is outstanding, with wonderful deep carving all over, including grape vines on the front edges. This is deep buttoned and upholstered in a lovely dusty pink fabric. It sits on original porcelain casters on the front legs and there are brass ball roller casters under the back legs.
It is in very good condition for its age, the frame has been wax polished, it is clean and sturdy. We haven’t recovered this chair, because the fabric is still in really good condition, with only some extremely minor wear. It’s also had a very professional upholstery job done.
