A beautiful pair of antique Victorian captains armchairs in solid elm with upholstered seats. These were made in England, they date from around the 1870-1890 period.
The quality is excellent, and they are a lovely, petite size. They are well built, sturdy and also comfortable. The frames are made from beautifully turned and steam bent solid elm, which has a beautiful colour and lovely grain patterns.
The frames have recently been re-polished and the seats re-upholstered in our cream cotton fabric. The condition is excellent for their age, with some old signs of wear beneath the polish, commensurate for age.
