Fabulous set of six rosewood dining chairs in great condition & dating to the William IV period, which is the 1830’s. Some people would describe them as Regency & they do have some Regency characteristics with the curved top rails, but most of the features are more typically William IV. They are beautifully carved all over & the turned legs have that typical William IV tulip design. These chairs are all structurally sound & have just been French polished. The drop in seats have just been re-upholstered too. There are similar looking sets of six chairs on the market, some more expensive & some less expensive, however I believe you will find it hard to find a set as nice as these in terms of design, fine details & quality.
