A beautiful pair of antique French gilt wood salon armchairs, dating from around the 1890-1910 period.

They are of superb quality, with gorgeous carving throughout. They sit on wonderful cabriole legs, there is wonderful floral carving and lovely scrolled armrests. The proportions are generous and they are very comfortable.

The gilt finish has just the right amount of wear, with different colours coming through the gilt. The frames are solid and perfectly distressed with a lovely patina. We have just had them re-upholstered in a cream cotton fabric.
