A beautiful pair of French antique mahogany & gilt side chairs, which we would date from around the 1850’s period.

The quality is excellent, they have a very elegant yet sturdy design. The pierced backs have harp shaped centres with parcel shaped embellishment and lovely carved finials on either side of the top. The sides of the back rests and legs are tapered and fluted, the level of craftsmanship on display here is really top notch.

We have recently had these re-polished and re-upholstered in a cream cotton fabric, the condition is excellent for their age.
