An exquisite pair of antique Swedish armchairs in mahogany. They were recently imported from Sweden, and they date from around 1880-1900.

The quality is outstanding and they have an absolutely stunning design. There are fantastic gilt bronze mounts on the arm rests and knees, with solid brass hairy paw feet and a brass trim all around the frame. The mahogany has a gorgeous colour tone and patina, it is also beautifully carved at the arm rests and knees.

We have had the frames re-polished and they have been re-upholstered in a cream cotton fabric. The condition is excellent for their age, with just some very minor wear remaining beneath the polish here and there.
