A fantastic set of original William IV period dining chairs in mahogany. They were made in England, and date from the 1830-1840’s.
The quality is outstanding, they are a beautiful designed example of chairs from the period. The Trafalgar backs have lovely scrolled carving, the front legs have that typical William IV octagonal design and the back legs are sabre shaped.
We have had these re-polished and the seats have been re-upholstered in our cream cotton fabric, the condition is excellent for their age. The mahogany has a gorgeous patina, with various small marks here and there beneath the polish, retaining plenty of character.
