A fantastic set of four solid rosewood dining chairs from the William IV period. They were made in England, and they date from around 1830-40.
The quality is outstanding, they are very sturdy and supportive. They have beautifully shaped pierced Trafalgar backs, with sabre back legs and nicely turned octagonal front legs. The seat fronts are concave, they lift on and off easily, and are held in place with dowels.
We have had the frames re-polished, and the seats have been re-upholstered in a cream cotton fabric. The condition is excellent for their age.
