A wonderful serpentine fronted antique cabinet on chest in burr walnut. This was made in England & dates from around the 1900-1920 period.
It is of excellent quality, with a stylish and elegant design. This has a solid walnut construction with stunning burr walnut veneers, inlays & cross bandings on the front, plus on the top. It is a very useful size, with lots of storage space and a pull out slide in the centre. The drawers have locks, original brass handle & this piece sits on splayed legs.
We have recently had this re-polished, it is in excellent condition for its age.
This was obviously used for storing sheet music or old records of classical music, because the references are still on the inside of the doors. They can easily taken off, but we thought we would leave them where they are for now.
