A superb Regency period marble top chiffonier in rosewood. This was made in England, it dates from the 1815-1830’s.
It is extremely well made, with brass grill front doors and high quality gilt metal mounts. It sits on a plinth base, with neoclassical Corinthian style columns running down each side of the front. There is a single drawer at the top with hidden recessed handles, and the locking doors open to reveal a large storage space with a single shelf.
The condition is very good for its age, we have just had this re-polished. The rosewood grain patterns and colour tones are gorgeous throughout.
